Our History
1975: Gainier Doreur on leather from father to son for three generations, Claude CAMUSET learns the trade in the family workshop located in the center of Paris.
1982: He opens his own workshop in Clichy la Garenne.
2005: After fourteen years of management and business, he decides to live in the Landes and sets up a Workshop: LA GAINERIE D’ART
2019: His wife, Valérie CAMUSET, forms an SAS: LA GAINERIE D’ART. Takes over the main activity and develops a line of Leather Goods.
Nature of the activity
Covering and gilding on leather The practice of this activity is the covering of any object or piece of furniture with leather or other materials such as: fabrics, skai, velvet…
On these sheathing a gilding can be applied to it by an appropriate material, called gilding irons or rollers; (tools chiseled on brass).
Several gildings can be printed, in 24 karat leaf gold, in gold on 22 karat plastic film, or imitation gold and color marking.
The realizations
• The leather covering of the tops of secretaries' desks and games tables, by applying a gilding corresponding to the nature of the furniture, modern or old.
• The manufacture of boxes for notary furniture "dis cartonniers" with leather front and gilding.
• The production of stylish or modern office items, desk pad, filing cabinet, notepads, pencil holder.
• Hunting and cellar books, guest books, photo albums...
• Arrangement of drawers for storage: silverware cutlery, shop drawers...
• The manufacture of leather goods accessories, bags, small leather goods, belts...
• The manufacture or fitting out of cases for luxury hunting rifles or collector's weapons.
• And any specific request for sheathing or gilding for interior decoration.
