  A superb sensory experience, but a few drawbacks (I'll only talk about the spa area as I didn't stay in the hotel room). I had a wonderful time at the Splendid, but I want to share my honest opinion about my experience. On the positive side, the place remains exceptional for relaxation. The water temperature is perfect, and the quality of the sauna and hammam is excellent. I greatly appreciated the tranquility resulting from the absence of children and the limited number of people, which allowed me to truly enjoy the facilities. The sensory circuit is very well-balanced, and the tea served is excellent. However, I must point out a major negative: the flotation pool. It's supposed to be saturated with salt to allow you to float, but this time, there was practically none. The water felt more like fresh water than salt water, unlike my previous visits. For a service costing nearly €30, it's essential that the promised functionality is delivered. Finally, I noticed a change regarding the towels. Previously, we had several, which makes sense so we could sweat on one in the sauna and then have a dry towel to shower with in the changing room. Now, we have to dry ourselves with a towel soaked in sweat. I understand the need to save money, but this impacts customer comfort. In short, the overall experience is great, but these details need to be addressed to justify the price.

  Experience the atmosphere of The Great Gatsby in this Art Deco hotel dating from 1929. With its extraordinary proportions, magnificent spa, and very spacious rooms, it's located in the heart of Dax, near the Roman Arena and all shops. There's no on-site parking, but free parking is available nearby.

  This is the best hotel in Dax, ideal for a short stay. The Art Deco architecture is very original. The location on the edge of the pedestrian zone is perfect for getting around. The spa area is very interesting, with a Gallo-Roman/underground style. I don't know of anything like it in France. We booked a large room/suite with a terrace for three nights. The town is always lively. A very pleasant stay.
