Maison Barthouil Discover delicious local dishes and preserves in Peyrehorade

From the very beginning, foie gras has been one of Maison Barthouil's signature products. Gaston Barthouil, the son of a butcher, began making it shortly after opening his charcuterie in 1929. We remain committed to this tradition, not only because it reflects a part of our family history but also because it signifies a strong connection to our local region, renowned for its geese and ducks raised for foie gras. Moreover, the preparation of our foie gras relies on traditional, artisanal methods.

As traditional preservers, we are committed to using every part of the animal. Gaston Barthouil was indeed a charcutier, and his father a butcher! In fact, with duck, nothing goes to waste. In the kitchen, our team prepares delicious dishes and preserves, using different cuts of duck depending on the recipe.
