Directions ArchéoParc of Brassempouy - Workshops for young and old in Brassempouy

About

  • English
    • The Prehistoric Site is composed of several areas:

      • The museum retraces the history of archaeological discoveries made at the prehistoric site of Brassempouy, the Pope's cave, since the 19th century.

Every day, tours adapted for children (from 6 years old) are offered, at 2pm in the low season and at 1:30pm and 2:30pm in the summer (in addition to tours for adults).

      • The ArchéoParc, a veritable haven of greenery, is populated with life-size prehistoric animals. It immerses visitors in the heart of prehistory with daily demonstrations of flint knapping and fire-making. Children and adults alike can also try their hand at spear throwing.

The Holiday Workshops are included in the admission ticket. These workshops are for children and adults alike!

During school holidays (zone A), we offer workshops to learn the techniques of our ancestors (included in the entrance ticket).

Young and old alike can try their hand at painting on a reconstructed cave wall using natural ochres, make their own talc bead exactly like in Prehistory, or even try their hand at stone engraving with a flint tool!

These workshops vary depending on the day and holiday periods.
