The Henri Meunier Arena in Tilh embodies the authenticity and deep tradition of the Course Landaise in Chalosse. Named in tribute to a famous local bullfighter, this building is a place where local bullfighting history lives on.
With a capacity of around 1,000 seats, the arenas are particularly notable for their 1963 entrance, adorned with superb ironwork. This work, created by Pierre Lalanne based on a drawing by the artist "Cel Le Gaucher", represents a deviation by Henri Meunier, symbolizing the courage and beauty of the gesture.
Today, the Arènes Henri Meunier continues to vibrate during patronal festivals and events that enliven local cultural life.
