About

  • English
    • Grenade-sur-l'Adour is a historic fortified town in the Landes region. Founded in the Middle Ages, it is distinguished by its vast central square, lined with arcades, which bears witness to its past as a commercial stronghold and market. The town is crossed by the Adour River, which played a key role in its economic development, particularly thanks to the river transport of grain. The village is ideally located between Aire-sur-l'Adour and Mont-de-Marsan.

Its architectural and cultural heritage includes the Church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, dating from the 15th century and restored in the 18th, and a two-towered façade from 1833. Beyond its monuments, Grenade-sur-l'Adour also offers many outdoor activities, including walks along the banks of the Adour, hiking trails and proximity to the Notre-Dame-du-Rugby chapel, located in Larrivière-Saint-Savin.
