- In Capbreton, the Passe du Boucarot is a place with an unusual atmosphere. You will see a continual broom of a boat passing from the port of Capbreton to the marine lake of Hossegor. This former bed of the Adour river is also the entry point for two rivers: the Boudigau and the Bouret which flow into the port. You will therefore come across many freshwater or seawater fishermen ... To facilitate access to the port by the pass, the lighthouse , at the end of its wooden footbridge, is a must-see. Photographers will appreciate the shots they can take there, whatever the desired angle of view.

Timetables are unclear, not updated and very uncertain. The employee who drives the boat is a nightmare all by himself... Unless he's not in his right mind. August 27, 2023.

Accessible from the Esplanade de la Liberté, the pier marks the entrance to the Passe du Boucarot, which allows boats to reach the port of Capbreton and the marine lake of Hossegor, a vestige of the former location of the bed of the 'Adour. The pier is a privileged observation post to admire the arrival of the boats, you could almost jump on board as they pass! It is also the meeting place for anglers, who gather at the end of the pier, or below at the foot of the lighthouse when the tide permits.

Disappointed!!! IN fact I returned to Capbreton to make the short crossing of the port. We arrived a little early to be sure this time not to miss it. Unfortunately, being only 2, the boatman completely ignored us and went for a walk to the end of the bridge. If only he had bothered to tell us. I point out that the weather was correct.
