- Located in Gascony, at the crossroads of Basque country, Béarn and Les Landes, within the charming bastide of Hastingues, our guesthouse L’écrin des Gaves benefits from a gorgeous view on the river Les Gaves Réunis and the typical alluvial plains renowned for its kiwi farming.
  
  This 17th century property is surrounded by gardens richly tree filled. This is the perfect place for gathering, revitalising, sightseeing and sharing. The four beautiful bedrooms offer comfort, stylish décor and warm atmosphere. Our guests have free access to the swimming-pool, to a cottage which can be used for a yoga session or meditation, and to the library.
  A delightful breakfast is served daily and a tasteful evening meal is proposed around a large table in our dining room or in the terrace both with a wide view on the river.
  
  Our rural retreat is also the starting point for discovering the “Val d’Adour Maritime”, a scenery itinerary along the river, driving until Bayonne that we easily reach in 35 minutes. The beautiful sandy beaches of la “Côte d’Argent”, Seignosse, Hossegor, Ondres, are located at 50 minutes driving. The Pyrénées mountains provide with a large range of hiking paths such as Mont Baïgura, La Rhune, les Gorges de Kakuetta, les crêtes d’Iparla, all at around one hour and a half from Hastingues.

Beautifully restored mansion. Garden and infinity pool with superb view of the Gave. Warm and very professional welcome. High quality breakfast and dinner. All the ingredients came together to make our stay perfect. Thanks to our hosts Sabina and Claude

We spent 2 very pleasant days with Sabrina and Claude. A fabulous welcome. Sabrina never stops telling anecdotes about the house and the surrounding area. Claude, just as welcoming, is in the kitchen to delight our taste buds in the evening and at breakfast. The spacious and comfortable rooms. Ours, jade, with a fantastic view of the Gave. We enjoyed cooling off in the magnificent infinity pool. I highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights with Sabrina and Claude, in their magnificent house overlooking the river, a breathtaking view. Thank you for your warm welcome and kindness. We really enjoyed the infinity pool with its view and the garden is very relaxing. There is even a corner to relax and do yoga. The Topaze room is nicely decorated and impeccably clean like the whole house. An attention awaited us in the room: a small jar of Terra Dora jam, from a master jam maker and producer from the Landes. All bedding and linens are of high quality. The breakfast was very good with quality products and the service is refined. Every detail is thought out! Special mention for the raspberry & rose jam and the Basque cake tea! A delight!
