1 - Enjoy the beaches

Start your stay by relaxing on the magnificent beaches of Mimizan. With its miles of fine sand and powerful ocean, you will have the opportunity to swim, surf, stroll along the coastline or simply relax and enjoy the sun. There are no fewer than 7 beaches in Mimizan!

After a day on the beach with family or friends, how about heading to Sabres and the Auberge des Pins, just 40 minutes from Mimizan? Open year-round, this charming 3-star hotel and restaurant features a spacious dining room opening onto a lush, tree-lined park, as well as a large dining room that can be privately reserved for around 100 people. Organize your private event in a privileged setting; the venue is charming and the cuisine is 100% homemade.

2 - Walk the Flowery Promenade Trail

It's the perfect place to relax between the beach and the lake, while enjoying a beautiful flowery path laid out by the municipality. Everyone can do it and you can even, if you want, continue by going around the lake (the Circuit de l'étang d'Aureilhan, allow a good 3 hours)!


Do you like walking? In Mimizan you can also explore the Étang de la Mailloueyre discovery trail, which will take you to a Natura 2000 reserve. Less than 4 km away, there is an observatory with a beautiful view of the forest and the beach. Perfect for children.

3 - Discover the Mailloueyre pond

A discovery trail is located at the Maillouyre pond, 12 kilometers of happiness in a Natura 2000 classified area. A shaded place for hot days and a change of scenery. At the end of the walk, a pretty, peaceful belvedere.


4 - Take a bike ride in Mimizan

Mimizan is a cyclist's paradise. Rent a bike and set off on an adventure along the cycle paths that crisscross the region. Explore the surrounding area, ride along the coast, or discover the picturesque villages nearby. This activity will allow you to fully enjoy Mimizan's natural beauty.

Following the Vélodyssée cycle path that passes through here, you can take the coastal cycle path to get from one beach to the other or simply enjoy a bike ride on the wooded trail. You can also take a bike ride to the Mimizan and Bias ponds, about 7km of trail. Ask for a map of the trails at the Tourist Office!

You will find souvenirs, local artisanal products, food products (caterer, butcher, delicatessen, fishmonger, mini markets...), but also ready-to-wear and all the amenities.


The Mimizan market takes place every Friday morning. Every Thursday, there is also a seasonal market in the summer in Mimizan-Plage. On Tuesdays and Saturdays in the summer, there is a night market of crafts in the Place du Marché.
