On Saturday the 16th, we went rafting on the Mimizan stream, organized by the tourist office. We were guided by Katia, accompanied by Fabien and Jean Pierre. It was a great experience, everything was very well organized. Fabien is an expert on the stream's freshwater; all his explanations were very clear and easy to understand. He's a very friendly guy with a lot of knowledge about it. Jean Pierre loves Mimizan and knows its history and unique features very well. He told us some very interesting and entertaining stories. He also took the time to speak very slowly so we could understand him. Katia is an exceptional guide. She made the excursion very enjoyable and had everything perfectly organized. She's very friendly and a true professional. Along the way, several professionals came to explain the aquatic fauna and the inter-community projects carried out there. Finally, some eel fishermen told us about the eels' entire life cycle until they arrive here to lay their eggs and how they fish for eels. Everything was very interesting and easy to understand. Upon our arrival, Katia prepared a lovely little snack for us. The pastries were delicious 😋 I almost forgot to mention that the starting point was the Jardin Fleuri (flower garden). From there, a bus took us to the beach, and from there we paddled 8.5 km along the Mimizan current back to the starting point. And the most amazing thing was that it was all free! Many thanks to the tourist office, especially to Katia, Fabien, and Jean Pierre. I hope to see you all again on the next radone.

The staff here were helpful and the building is currently undergoing a refurbishment, so it is looking good. We felt that each time we walked past and needed something it was closed! However, this...
