  I would like to express my sincere thanks for the "Nature Walk at Lake Aureilhan" activity, organized on July 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., by the Mimizan Intercommunal Tourist Office, as well as for the "Nature Walk in the Landes Forest" on July 23, 2026, with our wonderful guide Katia! We were fortunate to be accompanied by Katia, an absolutely remarkable guide: a skilled educator, passionate, and a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge. We were completely captivated by her explanations of the fauna, flora, and biodiversity. My children were delighted with the walk and particularly happy to learn so much. Both have disabilities, including ADHD and ASD. They usually have great difficulty staying focused, attentive, and interested in a single subject for any length of time. Yet, thanks to our guide's professionalism, kindness, and teaching skills, they remained captivated throughout the entire walk. This means so much to them, and also to me as their mother. I would therefore like to thank her immensely for the quality of her guidance, her patience, and her ability to share her knowledge with such passion and humanity.   After being evacuated from Biscarrosse due to the fire, we went to Mimizan, the place that had been recommended to us. We went to the Mimizan tourist office on July 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM to get some information. We were very poorly received. The receptionist was haughty, rude, and, in my opinion, almost vulgar. She should change careers; she should be a prison guard. We ask for nothing more than a warm welcome. After what happened to us, personally, it makes me not want to return to Mimizan.

  We received a very warm welcome. The activities offered by the Tourist Office were excellent and allowed us to discover the region in a very enjoyable way.
