The Courant de Contis is a real sanctuary for wild fauna and flora.

You will start your descent on a small narrow river named Le Vignac.

Here, the trees have planted a vault of vegetation above your head called riparian forest. The limpid and shallow waters of this river are accessible to all. Be silent because this is where the European mink lives.

Three kilometers later, at the confluence of Onesse, we arrive on the Courant de Contis.

A myriad of mercury agres and other dragonflies of different colors await you, several species of birds, turtles (European pond) who sunbathe perched on a wooden trunk leaving the water. The birds live here in large numbers: kingfishers, gray herons, bittern herons, ducks etc...

Be discreet and attentive because it is also the area of the otter of Europe. With a little luck you will be able to see it before it dives in search of crayfish which it delights.

The flora is of great richness : the hibiscus marsh unfolds in the sun its pale pink flower, the royal osmonde forces the respect, this magnificent fern has not evolved since 180 million years.

The last part or Antique forest will let you discover a cathedral of centuries-old trees intertwining to form a majestic vault.
