Les barthes de l’Adour Nature Reserve in Saubusse

The Barthes de l'Adour run alongside the Adour river. The term "barthe", in the Gascon language, indicates a "swampy meadow". These are meadows and swamps that form the banks of the Adour, especially in the region of Seignanx. They are regularly flooded and attract many birds and water animals. It is a good place to observe migratory birds, but also many nesting birds, throughout the year. The area is classified "Natura 2000" and many activities and guided tours are organized there.
