Site des Neufs Fontaines Nature Reserve in Bostens

Near Mont-de-Marsan, the Neufs Fontaines site is a short hiking trail in the heart of a 20 hectare protected natural area. The educational trail, lined with panels, allows you to discover the different islets of nature that have developed around its three ponds. You will notably observe the European Pond Turtle, a rare and protected freshwater turtle. This former "airial" has been redeveloped to create the Urban Natural Park of Marsan.
The airial, in Gascon, designates the lawn that adorns the front of a Gascon house. It forms a clearing in the Landes forest to bring more light into the house. Here the airial revolves around a goat farm, to respect the spirit of the original farm. You can therefore taste tasty goat cheeses, typically Landes.
