Sentier de découverte « l’Etang du Bourg Vieux » Nature Reserve in Mimizan

Many currents and streams join the ocean and crisscross the shores of the coast. Lakes were formed there and offer a fauna and significant species of the Landes forest. Not far from the Courant de Mimizan , at the exit of the village of Bias, the Bourg Vieux discovery trail allows you to better understand the evolution of this forest and its pond, pushed by the sea.
To appreciate it in all its facets , guided walks are organized by the Mimizan Tourist Office, during the summer season. Out of season, you will find a guidebook and a free smartphone application: “mimizan360”. For cyclists, mountain biking trails are available nearby.
