Poor. Without doubt the worst Sandaya site we have stayed on. I know this site was only bought in March from Yelloh but there is a lot of work to do. Location in brochure looks idyllic but whilst there is a small beach with no sunbeds and only a small indoor plunge pool. Staff not in uniform unlike other Sandaya sites and smoking/vaping on duty. Constant fumes and noise from boats being moved through campsite. This feels like a boatyard with rude boat owners using facilities and revving engines within one metre of pitch. Do not settle for upper campsite pitch as they are dreadful (deep sand, overhanging low trees and steep uphill road to get out or visit shower block). No takeaway and the most expensive bar of any Sandaya site we have used. Limited shop and make sure you buy food at a supermarket before visiting the area. Electric bike essential as very steep hills unless you goto Biscarosse. No bars or restaurants within a few miles. Reception staff good as were shower blocks and Security guard excellent when electricity failed at night. No working Security exit barrier. We left early (wife in tears with constant tractor noise). If you want to stay on the lake use the excellent Sandaya sites at the northern end. Much work to be done on this site but the noisy boatyard will be difficult to overcome.

This is a big holiday resort campsite and we try to avoid these - just not what we are after. However, we were struggling to find somewhere suitable for the night. We are finding that sites are closing up for winter but there are a lot of tourers like us around enjoying the hot weather. The woman on the front desk was friendly and was patient with my basic French. The section we were offered was OK but at the bottom of 3 tiers and under the trees. Not keen, but we needed somewhere to stay. There's a private beach so we walked over there and saw that the rest of the site is really pleasant as is the beach area. We would have stayed a bit longer but the bar and restaurant were closed. Rained later so didn't go back. Shame, because the area around the lake is really nice. Toilet block was good, but a hike up the hill to get to it. Cleaners were in when we went past. Washing up sinks are right in the middle of the room, with all the cubicles around them. Not seen that formation before!

Great place 1st time we have stayed in a village environment. We had a great couple of days in comfortable air conditioned cabin. Super on-site restaurant with friendly staff and superb food. Happy to recommend and plan to return.

Not a large campsite and located down the end of a lakeside road. Nice bar and restaurant but service can be very slow. If budget allows try and get a location in the la plage premium area. Lake has...
