Samadet is a commune located in Tursan, a region of Landes renowned for its rolling hills and vineyards. Its history is closely linked to the production of earthenware.

In the 18th century, a royal factory was established there, giving rise to the production of plates, dishes and vases with floral motifs and delicate colors. This tradition is today perpetuated and highlighted by the Departmental Museum of Earthenware and Tableware, which traces the epic of this factory and exhibits remarkable pieces. The village is also a stopping point for pilgrims on the Way of Saint James.

In addition to its rich cultural heritage, Samadet offers an ideal setting for outdoor activities. Surrounded by landscapes typical of the Landes region of Gascony, the village is an excellent starting point for hiking or cycling. The Samadet Arena is another iconic venue, where events and shows, including the Course Landaise, are held.
