Les saligues de Prentigarde Nature Reserve in Aire-sur-l'Adour

The Saligues de Prentigarde are old pastures, redeveloped and preserved, on the outskirts of the town of Aire-sur-Adour. Originally, the “saligues” were wooded areas with willows on the banks of the Adour. They have been exploited for animal fodder. Today, these bodies of water, meadows and forests form a natural space, which lends itself well to walks and to the observation of birds, turtles and other animals and insects which have taken refuge there.
