Chalosse Museum Immerse yourself in the heart of Montfort's culture and traditions

Just a few minutes from Dax, between the pine forest and the Pyrenees, Chalosse, with its fertile and hilly landscape, offers another face of the Landes.

Formerly composed of varied agricultural crops (vines, cereals, orchards, meadows), the Chalosse bocage is a land of high gastronomic tradition, renowned for its foie gras and its authentic labeled beef.

A richly furnished manor house, the garden and the sharecropper's house, the wine cellar and its amazing press, the vine conservatory, the working bread oven, the animals… At Domaine de Carcher, everything evokes the agricultural and wine-growing Chalosse of the 19th century.

Equipped with a media library, a public services department, and a temporary exhibition hall, the Musée de la Chalosse is a true repository of Chalosse identity, with its beliefs, skills, and techniques. An authentic, vibrant, and welcoming place for the whole family, reflecting the generous, gourmet, and festive spirit of this land!

• From March 3 to October 31, 2026: Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.
• From November 2, 2026 to February 28, 2027: only for groups, by appointment, Monday to Friday.
• Total closure: from December 19, 2026 to January 3, 2027 inclusive.

• Full price: €8.00
• Reduced price: €5.00 for 18-25 year olds, students and disabled people.
• Reduced price: €3.00 for young people between 6 and 17 years old.
• Family Pass: €20.00 for 2 adults and 2 children.
• Guided tour: €2.00 in addition to the entrance fee. By reservation only.
• Free: for children under 6, from the 3rd child onwards and job seekers.
