Hagetmau in Chalosse

A small dynamic town, Hagetmau is located in Chalosse, one of the only hilly areas in the Landes. Here, we give pride of place to nature , gastronomy and traditions . Stroll through Hagetmau to appreciate the magnificent flowery facades , the whole town resplendent with colors and vegetation in the summer! In Hagetmau, you can do sports , thanks to quality infrastructure and pleasant natural sites. You will enjoy an Olympic-sized swimming pool with a covered pool and sports and fun pools for the whole family. Ideal for a splash when it's hot or you want to change visits (open all year)!

Crossed by the small river Louts, the town has arenas, to see shows of Landes races in season. On Place Charles de Gaulle , on Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a friendly market with producers from the region. The perfect place to find local foods during your vacation. On the heritage side, you will enjoy a stop at the Sainte-Marie Madeleine church, the surroundings of which are also beautifully decorated and decorated with flowers. A little further away, on the heights of the city, the Saint-Girons Crypt amazes pilgrims and lovers of religious architecture. Lake Halco and Lake Agès

Near the town of Hagetmau there are 2 lakes for beautiful walks and discovering the joys of fishing. The Halco Lakes are an ideal place for family walks, with a children's play area and picnic tables. Larger, Lake Agès will be ideal for a beautiful 5km walk around the lake. Easy to park and observation of fauna and flora in perspective.

To do and discover near Hagetmau

• The Prehistosite of Brassempouy is located about ten km from Hagtmau. Come spend some time with your family and learn more about the prehistoric remains discovered in Chalosse and the famous Lady of Brassempouy !
• Saint-Sever is a pretty town to visit! Go to the Jardin de l'Oppidum de Morlanne , not far from the village.
• Amou, Geaune and Pimbo are small, typically Landes bastides to discover between Chalosse and Tursan.
• A beautiful walk to take in Chalosse from Hagtmau to Orthez in Béarn , via the GR654. This is the Voie du Vézelay, one of the paths to reach Santiago de Compostela
