  There were 12 of us girls who came for a horseback riding excursion as part of a bachelorette party, hoping for a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. From the very beginning, the manager/instructor was stressful, impatient, and particularly unpleasant to beginners. Instead of being reassuring and patient, he constantly shouted, got annoyed with our skill level, and put us under pressure. As a result, we left feeling much more tense than when we arrived. A horseback riding excursion is supposed to be a time for discovery, building confidence, and having fun. Here, we mostly felt like we were intruding. There was no kindness, very little guidance, and a frankly anxiety-inducing atmosphere. The saddest part was our experience with the horses. We didn't feel they were being treated well or respected, which made the experience even more unpleasant. The setting and the idea were superb on paper, but on a personal level, the experience was very disappointing. We were looking forward to sharing a lovely memory with our girlfriends; we were mostly just looking forward to it being over so we could go unwind somewhere else.
