From cartoon to illustration
Since childhood, David Guérin has always had a pencil in hand and we find his drawings wherever he went. He drew for the newspaper of the Lycée Gaston Crampe, "The bubble of Aire", creates a comic strip of the air base of Mérignac (BA 106) when he carried out his military service.
At the end of the 1980s, he collaborated with the correspondent of the newspaper "Sud-Ouest", Roger Faure, who at the time asked him for drawings to illustrate his articles, when he did not have a photograph available. When he entered working life at the Papeteries de Gascogne, he provided drawings for the newspaper published by the company: "Panorama Gascogne".
Other local publications also call on his talents as a designer, such as that of the Garluche surf school for which he created the logo or the newspaper "Le Born". David Guérin also creates logos and uses others to transform them into pin's for France Négoce.
Passionate about comics, he regularly went to the Angoulême festival and he treasured a drawing signed by Michel Iturria. Recently, David Guérin wanted drawing to be more than a passion. So he swapped his pencils, sheets of paper and colors for software and a graphics tablet. He set up his micro-business in the spring of 2019 in graphic design. With a fairly wide palette - logos, posters, personalized posters - he has distinguished himself above all by his illustrations of Mimizannais and Born sites in a refined style.
