Stopped here for one night on way back up through France from Spain. When we had had enough driving I googled sites near us and called them to see if they could accommodate us - reception spoke excellent English. We arrived just before reception shut and were made very welcome. Big pitch close enough to showers/loos etc. Showers shut overnight so make sure you take an early shower - toilets stay open;-) Toilets (no seats) and showers were clean and plenty of hot water. There were a large group of young very excited young boys running around a little out of control, banging shower doors, running through our pitch etc - apparently they had been there for a football tournament so were excited. Maybe ensure that large groups of children have sufficient amount of adults with them to supervise! It was great when they went to bed! The bar/restaurant on site was shut which was a shame. The pool was great, we relaxed off in it after our 7 hour drive. The site was on the pricey side but the facilities were very good, we would use the site again. Thank you for accommodating us;-)

This campsite is not easy to review. On the one hand the site is beautiful well kept, good size plots, grass. Great adventure area for kids small games room and table tennis table. The campsite has a pool, it is not too big with an outside and inside area. 2 slides on the outside. One shower block, this was kept clean. No toilet seats. The price of the campsite was the most astonishing thing €75 for one night. We asked why we had to pay a €30 administration cost, they explained it was we booked it on the internet ON THEIR SITE, and we should have booked it directly with them over the phone. I find this strange when most places are booked over the internet now. Still I find €40 for one night with electric quite expensive.

This is a tale of 2 weeks. First of all let me state what we paid. Around 970E for the two week stay. It was the most expensive site of our 3 month tour. We appreciated that we stayed in high season but expected a fantastic stay. Unfortunately for the first week we didn’t. We had paid for an XXL pitch with electricity, water and drainage. We were shown to a field. Our facilities point was quite a way from our pitch. Not to worry as we have very long cables. The problem came on the first night when folks arrived for a one, two or 3 night stay and everyone was rammed onto this area. This happened every day. There were not enough points for everyone. Indeed the main post had around 8 electricity outlets and the owners had to provide “splitters” and extension leads for nearly 100 meters! We had people arriving and unplugging our electric and water outlets. There were a few confrontations when we put ours back in. We did mention this to the site to ask them to tell anyone arriving to leave our electric and water alone. It honestly became like staying in an Aire with everyone cramped in fighting for space. It was not relaxing at all. You couldn’t sit outside in the evening and enjoy your meal as it was like being in a car park with everyone on top on you. We looked around the site daily to see if there were any suitable pitches we could move to but unfortunately there wasn’t. At the start of the second week we found a pitch that was empty and moved on to that. From then on it was like being on a different site. We were in a small cul de sac so had no one driving past us all the time with our own services and hedges separating the pitches. This was more like it. The second week was great. On arrival we were asked for our passports. This is the first time in 7 years visiting France that we have been asked for them. Not a problem but strange. We were given no information about the site or the area. Indeed when we asked for a map we were shown to the front window and told to take a photo! We were given a leaflet with rules and instructions on - eg not to hang washing lines between trees. However everyone appeared to ignore this, so it’s obviously not enforced. The pool and pool area is very small for the size of the site. For A 4* site it could do with a general tidy up. We saw no maintenance in the time we stayed. You are given cards which allow you two 5 minute showers a day. Not a problem for us as we used our own. The facilities block is quite a walk from the grass field. There aren’t enough for the amount of people on site and they could do with being modernised. They are clean. The dump point is right near where people are washing up! The reception is closed from mid day until 3pm. Summary. The first week 1* to 2 *. The second week 3* to 4* (mainly because we were self contained within our camper.) It may have been different if we wanted to use the facilities and the pool. Overall 2* taking into account the cost and other issues mentioned.
