The Savonnerie des Grands Lacs is located in the south-west, in Sainte-Eulalie-en-Born in the Landes between lakes, pine forests and ocean.
All our soaps are hand-made by the cold saponification method and are over-fatted between 7 and 9%. The glycerin of our soaps is a moisturizing agent naturally produced during the saponification process.
We produce creative, ethical and eco-friendly soaps. Our ingredients are chosen according to their quality but also according to their manufacturing methods (ecological, human and animal well-being).
Each recipe is the result of long research.
We use unrefined and organic100% vegetableoils such as Southwest Virgin Olive Oil in all our recipes. To compensate for the lack of palm oil, we use butters like coconut and shea butter.
These butters allow the soaps to harden and bring softness and nutrients to the skin without forgetting the bubbles and the creamy. These butters are unrefined, organic and fair trade.
Most of our soaps are unscented (natural soap scent) and others are lightly scented with essential oils.
