Sorde Abbey offers a rich cultural program in the prestigious setting of its monumental ruins.
From April to October, discovery workshops under the aegis of artists and craftsmen are open to all amateurs, young people and adults. This year, calligraphy, pottery, illumination, wood and stone sculpture, ceramics and stained glass are in the spotlight. Half-day workshops or three-day course depending on the discipline. Reservations are strongly recommended as these workshops are in high demand!
In July and August, the current scene invests the cloister: make way for shows and concerts at night ! On the program: Afro Social Club (Afrobeat), the Cie Le Liquidambar (puppets), the Cie Androphyne (contemporary dance), Orbel 5trip Hop), Soll Hess & The Boom Doom Revue (cartoon rock concert), L'homme à la tête de lion (BD-Concert with Splendor in the glass). A snack on site is available from 7:30 p.m. to start these evenings off right!
