  Big campground right next to the beautiful beach. Excellent place off season, without crowds yet still alive. Pitches OK if you have wheel chocks, but the ones closest to the dune very sandy and some campers get stuck. Reception however gives honest warning about that. Sanitaries OK and clean. Pools, fitness equipment, etc. on site. Food as well. Fresh bakery in the morning - make sure to order.

  Really nice site. The staff all seem to be really nice and were always very helpful when we needed it. We went for the surf and it was great though the walk to and from the beach is a little longer than expected.

  I have mixed feelings about this site. It is modern in feel (with typical French washroom facilities but on the better end) and has lots of facilities from a big pool complex and slides, and pool cafe, and is the last resort on the beach in amongst all the restaurants and shops. I can’t fault these things. I picked this site as I had read great reviews and thought it would be a fantastic last 10 days at the end of a 5 week camping trip in the area. Perhaps I was naive in going with the reviews as it’s just not my family’s style so I wanted to write my own review to appeal to other families who, like us, would prefer a different sort of environment. It is indeed a holiday park complete with wrist bands that have to be attached to each person only by the reception staff. Everything is very stripped-back, neat and tidy and a bit ‘suburban’ and runs to a schedule, from the pool opening hours to the washroom opening times, to the animations. If you are happy with or enjoy someone else running your holiday for you, you will like it. It is an enormous site so whilst being right by the beach - unless you request a beach front pitch (which we hadn’t) - it’s actually quite a long way to walk. The strip outside is very much a resort, with brightly coloured ice cream/crepe/waffle bars, very average clothes and beach gear shops and is jammed full of people: it took over an hour in a ‘20 minute’ queue to get a table at a resort restaurant on our first night when were new to the place. My advice if you have young children (ours are 9,7,5 and 2)?: go early to dinner as you can neither book nor beat the crowds! There are so many people along this thoroughfare day and night! And there are no picnic benches inside the resort or outside around the shops and the beach - no benches even to rest on! We didn’t always want to go back to our tent to eat but we just couldn’t find anywhere else set up for eating your own food than there. Again, very resort-esque to be manipulated into buying food from the resort when you want to be able to sit outside and eat it. This wasn’t our experience elsewhere in the area at the 3 star resorts: they were much wilder in natural surroundings and more-laid back and not so big and impersonal. There are plenty nestled into the beautiful pine forests and within just a few minutes by bike or car to the stunning local beaches. I highly recommend the area but if you like a bit more of a relaxing camping vibe where the kids are free to roam and be amongst pine trees of the local landscape then look elsewhere than Le Saint Martin. Probably my bad for picking the wrong type of resort for us but if Le Saint Martin is your style of holiday, you’ll love it.
