The TOURISTRA VACANCES “La forêt des Landes” holiday village (European Ecolabel since 2011) is located in the municipality of Tarnos, one of the 8 municipalities of Seignanx in the South of the Landes at the gateway to the Basque Country. The nature chalets are scattered around a 5 hectare park wooded with pines and cork oaks just 450 m from the Atlantic Ocean, at the Metro beach.
Wooden chalets with living room and dining area and equipped kitchenette (crockery, refrigerator, microwave, hotplates), a bathroom with separate shower and toilet and a private sheltered terrace.
94 semi-detached 4/5 person chalets (including 4 people with reduced mobility) and 36 5/6 person chalets: living room with sofa bed for 1 person, bedroom with 1 double bed, bedroom with 2 bunk beds (plus 1 single bed for 5/6 people).
On-site services: reception and tourist office, unguarded outdoor car parks and luggage trolleys, bathtub, high chair and cot on request, free wifi area, coin-operated laundromat and bicycle rental (limited stock ).
On-site infrastructure: swimming pool with paddling pool (unheated), open-air theater, multipurpose room, tennis court, pétanque, beach volleyball, table tennis, multisports ground, children's games.
In summer, entertainment for everyone every day: aquagym, sports tournaments, discovery of tai chi or yoga, animated walks, meetings, eco-awareness, evening shows, games, dancing at the bar or outdoors, festive meal once a week (at an additional cost), caterer: take-away meals, bread and newspaper shop. This year, the summer theme the "Tales and legends".
Children's activities for 3 to 12 year olds (manual activities, tournaments, vegetable garden, shows, treasure hunts, environmental awareness…) and Anim’ados for 13 to 17 year olds (dates depending on summer school holidays).
